Wainwright Society support Lake District Calvert Trust

John Bewick of the Wainwright Society visited the Lake District Calvert Trust recently and celebrated with Lynn Healey (Business Manager), a donation of £14,000.

Every year The Wainwright Society devotes much of its time and energy to raise funds for worthwhile causes. In 2011 the Society selected the Lake District Calvert Trust as their main beneficiary. During the year the Society members raised a total of £14,000 for the Trust. Members took part in various fundraising activities including an annual challenge that involved over 100 members in recreating Alfred Wainwright's 1931 Tour of The Lake District and Society members made donations to take part in the challenge.
