Runners take on London Marathon for Calvert Trust

The Lake District Calvert Trust is lucky enough to have four incredibly brave participants raising funds for us by taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2014.

The challenge being taken on by our 4 participants really is quite something: not only do they have to raise a significant sum of funds; they will have to follow a strict fitness regime, and then actually run the 26 miles and 385 yards (42.195 kilometres) to complete the task.

The funds will be raised through a combination of sponsorship and fundraising events in the months leading up to the marathon. Whilst each participant is committed to being ultimately responsible for raising these funds, we want to help them as much as we can.

Each participant has an individual target of around £2000, and they need your support! Please see their individual virginmoneygiving pages for more details. By following the link you can also sponsor them!

We would like to use this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all four of our runners for putting their names forward for this incredibly gruelling challenge, and we wish them every success in both their fundraising, training, and of course the main event itself.
