Challenging Disability Through Outdoor Adventure

Kielder are Kicking off the Christmas Festivities

Christmas cheer will be in full swing this weekend at a free Christmas Family Festival to benefit local children and their families.

Christmas Family Festival

Hilton Newcastle Gateshead plays host to Cash for Kids annual Christmas fundraiser for Calvert Trust Kielder this Sunday (November 23) with fun, games and treats aplenty.

The festive fun will run from 3pm until 6pm with Santa's grotto, ten pin bowling, face painting and a Christmas market featuring local produce, gifts and crafts from Cakey Bakey Bungalow's delicious cakes and sweet treats and The Northumberland Sausage Company's meat treats through to beautiful handmade crafts from Buttons and Bark and bespoke jewellery from Bleu Moon.

Snow Queen and PrincessMagic Radio’s Anna Foster will be singing live on stage and will be joined by a Snow Queen and Princess to switch on the lights on the enormous 20ft Christmas tree, donated by Elveden Estates.

There'll also be complimentary mulled wine and mince pies plus the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including Metro Radio Arena event tickets, in the Christmas prize draw.

All proceeds will be used to help disabled people and their families to experience life changing outdoor adventure at Calvert Trust Kielder, located in the stunning Kielder Water & Forest Park, Northumberland.

People are also encouraged to bring along a new and unwrapped gift for a child aged from birth to 18 for the Metro Radio Steve & Karen’s Mission Christmas Appeal 2014.
