Challenging Disability Through Outdoor Adventure

Running "The Toughest Race on Earth" for Calvert Trust Exmoor

Marathon de Sables, known to runners simply as MdS and billed as the toughest foot race on earth, is an 156 mile 'ultra marathon' across one of the most inhospitable environments on earth, the Sahara Desert.

Runners face temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit (50oC) running through sand, up desert-mountains, through ruined towns and the occasional sand storm!

Facing this challenge in aid of Calvert Trust Exmoor is Henry Potter, eldest son of Tony Potter, CEO of Calvert Trust Exmoor.

Henry is pictured here with Martin Pearman, Headmaster of Ripon Grammar School who will be running the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon in aid of Calvert Trust Exmoor, shortly before a recent joint training run.

The race runs from the 3rd to the 13th of April 2015. You can still sponsor Henry via his Just Giving page.

Henry and Calvert Trust Exmoor are particularly grateful to his employer Hartland Shipping for not only allowing him the time off to take part in the race, but also pledging a donation in support of him too.
