The 8 member the team was drawn from across the centre, with staff from housekeeping, activities, reservations, fundraising, facilities and the business team taking part.

Rock Solid Race is "a full on cocktail of mud, sweat and team work"; a race with up to 50 testing obstacles such as the 'Hurdles from Hell', the River Run,  'Son of a Bitch Ditch' and the Wall of Glory!

The Race at Escot Park has options for '5k', '10k' and '15k' routes, although in reality they are quite a bit longer than their published distances.

The Calvert Trust Exmoor team took part in the '5k' race, although one of the team was wearing a Nike+ sensor that measured the actual distance travelled as just over 8k.

The whole team really enjoyed the race and are already talking about doing it again! Josh Allan, Lead Fundraiser for Calvert Trust Exmoor said  "It  was super fun, great team building, we laughed all the way round! I'm looking forward to tackling the 10k ish race next time!"

The team, who started the race with a self imposed target time of 2 hours 30 minute and the goal of of being 'not last', completed the course in a respectable 2 hours, 19 minutes and 57 seconds.
