One Terrifying October! - 3 countries, 3 weekends, 3 marathons for Calvert Trust Exmoor

Chris Mullan, who has worked for Calvert Trust Exmoor since 2012, has challenged himself to run three marathons, in three countries, on three weekends in October 2016.

The challenge starts in Portugal with the Rock n roll Lisbon marathon on 2nd October, then on to the Netherlands for the TCS Amsterdam marathon on the 16th October, and finishing in Ireland with the SSE Dublin Marathon on 30th October.

Chris said; “I’m doing this because I wanted to challenge myself to do something positive for other people. I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled all round the world and had many amazing experiences. I have seen first-hand so many individuals, families, children that aren’t as fortunate and because of that I wanted to try and help. One Terrifying October could help many people have a life changing visit to Calvert Trust Exmoor; people with life threatening illness, families with disabled members, injured soldiers, and many others.”

Calvert Trust Exmoor will put the money Chris raises towards their bursary scheme, which enables people in financial need to be able to afford to have a break at the Trust.

Tony Potter, Chief Executive at Calvert Trust Exmoor said; “It’s always exciting when a member of our team decides to go the extra mile and undertake a challenge to support the work of Calvert Trust Exmoor.  We appreciate the efforts Chris is making to help more people enjoy a life changing ‘Calvert Experience’ with us.”
