Challenging Disability Through Outdoor Adventure

London to Paris cycle in aid of Calvert Trust Exmoor

In July 2016 this year an international group of cyclists set out to cycle from London to Paris in aid of Calvert Trust Exmoor.

The 13 riders and 4 support crew are part of Zoo2Zoo, who are a group of keen cyclists based in Australia who organise charity cycle rides. The international riders included two from New York (USA), two from Sydney (Australia), one from Krakow (Poland), and one from Munich (Germany), as well as several English riders two.

Between them this intrepid bunch raised a fantastic £1,976:82 for Calvert Trust Exmoor, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of them.

Ricky Wijaya, who organised the ride with his friend Eric as well as riding it himself said; "The ride went really well, the weather was great, we couldn't have asked for anything else, and the people we had were great!

Everyone did a fantastic job with their fundraising too; I would like to give special mention to Fiona Scott who has raised £317.50 so far, and Scott Wells who has raised over £900 all on his own."

Fiona Walker, Community Fundraiser for Calvert Trust Exmoor said "We were delighted that Zoo2Zoo decided to support us again for a second year, and we look forward to working with Ricky and Eric again.

One of the Zoo2Zoo riders, Andrew McKay, has been supporting Calvert Trust Exmoor in various ways since 2005, including running the London Marathon and cycling out to Exmoor to volunteer for us when he was living in London! We are very grateful to Andrew for nominating us as the Zoo2Zoo charity for this ride."
