Challenging Disability Through Outdoor Adventure

Accord Volunteers at Exmoor

Accord UK has been supporting Calvert Trust Exmoor for several years, and we value and appreciate all the support they continue to give us. On 15th February 2018 it was the turn of the Accord UK Marketing, Comms & PR Team to spend a day volunteering at the centre.

The team spent the day, clearing the 'zig-zag' path down to the reservoir, which is the main route for guests to get to our watersports activities, and was in need of some care after the winter months.

The 'zig-zag' is designed to take out the steepness of the slope, making it easier for wheelchair users (and other guests) to access Wistlandpound reservoir.

Front row, left to right, Emma Kingdon, KatieMason Thomas and Rebecca Craft.

One of the volunteers, Rebecca Craft said "The day was a great opportunity to support the local community in which we work, and we hope to return again very soon!"
