Awards & Accreditations
Here at Calvert Trust Exmoor we strive to make everything we do the best it can possibly be, and we are proud to hold a number of awards and accreditations from the certification bodies below.
Visit England (http://www.visitengland.com/) have awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor a five star rating as an activity accommodation provider.
Quality in Tourism (The Assessment Service for VisitEngland) have confirmed that this makes us the only five star accredited activity accommodation in England.

The National Access Scheme have accredited Calvert Trust Exmoor as being suitable for:
Older and less mobile guests (M1)
Part-time wheelchair users (M2)
Assisted wheelchair users (M3a)
Independent wheelchair users (M3i)
Visually impaired (V1)
Hearing impaired (H1)
The South West Tourism Alliance (http://www.swtourismalliance.org.uk/) awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor Silver in their Tourism Excellence Awards 2012/13.
The award was the Access for All Award, which is for tourism businesses that go the extra mile to ensure their facilities are accessible to all.
The Judges said;
“Excellent! Very accessible for all. Couldn’t fault it.”

Visit Devon have awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor bronze for the 2012 "Tourism Activity, Sport and Experience of the Year" Award.
This is the second year in a row that CTE have won an award in this category, having won gold for the 2011 awards.

The Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge is a nationally recognised benchmark, that has been awarded to Calvert Trust Exmoor as we have demonstrated that we are commited to engage in an ongoing process to sustain good-quality learning outside the classroom.

The South West Tourism Alliance (http://www.swtourismalliance.org.uk/) awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor Silver in their Tourism Excellence Awards 2012/13.
The first award was the Access for All Award, which is for tourism businesses that go the extra mile to ensure their facilities are accessible to all.
The second award was the ‘Tourism Activity, Sport and Experience of the Year’ Award, which is for tourism businesses which can demonstrate that they have gone the extra mile to deliver an outstanding and innovative customer experience.
The Judges said;
“Outstanding achievements in providing activity holidays that are accessible for all to enjoy, supported by a real sense of enabling people to achieve goals that they or their family and carers did not think possible.”

AHOEC (the Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres) have awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor their Gold Standard, which is given for excellence in outdoor education.

Visit Devon have awarded Calvert Trust Exmoor their "Tourism Activity, Sport and Experience of the Year" Award. The judges said;
"An outstanding venue in all aspects, specialising in giving people with a disability, their family and friends, the active holiday of a lifetime. A role model to every business in tourism."

The Food Standards Agency (via North Devon Council) have given us a 'scores on the doors' rating of 5 stars (out of 5), for very high standards of food safety.

The Adventure Activity Industry Advisory Committee (AAIAC) Adventuremark demonstrates that Calvert Trust Exmoor arrangements for managing the potential risks of adventure activities have been inspected and found to meet the necessary standards of good practice in the adventure activity industry.

The British Canoe Union (BCU) is the lead body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK.
Calvert Trust Exmoor is a BCU Approved Centre.

Calvert Trust Exmoor is recognised as having the a high standard of Equine facilities, and as a part of this we are a British Horse Society (BHS) approved facility. (no.1083).

Calvert Trust Exmoor is an approved RYA Training Centre, which means we operate to RYA standards and are able to deliver RYA approved training.
The RYA is the national body for all forms of boating, RYA qualifications are known and respected the world over.

RYA Sailability is an RYA programme to encourage and support people with disabilities to take up the sport of sailing, as sailing is one of the few sports in which able-bodied sailors and disabled sailors can participate on equal terms.
Calvert Trust Exmoor is an RYA Sailability approved centre.
