Vacancies  

Housekeeping Assistant (Casual - Seasonal)

Two Housekeeping Assistants (casual) are required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas & non-public areas in our 5 star activity accommodation

 

Hours of work may vary depending on our visitor numbers but will usually be 9:30am – 3:30pm on Mondays and Fridays with the possibility of some additional hours for holiday and sickness cover,  which may include early mornings and weekends.

 

These seasonal posts are available for an immediate start.  The wage for this role is currently £7.50 per hour (if you are over 25 years old).

Kitchen Assistant (Casual)

Calvert Trust Exmoor has an immediate vacancy for  a Casual Kitchen Assistant, undertaking general kitchen duties to include washing dishes and food preparation.

 

The hours of work will vary but may include mornings, evenings and weekends  depending on visitor numbers and may also include other days for sickness and holiday cover. Wage for this role meets National Minimum Wage/ Living Wage (according to age)

 

Uniform is provided, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have their own transport. Previous experience of similar work would be an advantage, but is not a requirement as full training will be given.

Activity Instructors 

Calvert Trust Exmoor has an immediate vacancy for an activity instructor for the 2017/2018 season.

As well as working with our diverse group of visitors, the successful candidates will be involved in the development and maintenance of activity facilities and equipment. You will also be required to work with horses (under supervision from our stables team).

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic and have strong interpersonal skills to manage and encourage the diverse range of visitors who undertake our activities.
  • Have a good team ethic.
  • Have the willingness to learn the key skills required to take on the instructor role at Calvert Trust Exmoor and an interest in working with people with disabilities.
  • Be flexible and prepared to adapt in this demanding and ever changing environment.
  • Have experience working in outdoor education.
  • Have experience of or be willing to work with horses (Under supervision and with training provided).

 Experience of working with people with disabilities is not a requirement but would be advantageous.

 

Qualifications

  • Essential:
    • Single Pitch Award or Climbing Wall Assessment (CWA) with Abseil.
    • BC UKCC Coach Level 1.
    • RYA Powerboat level 2
    • First aid trained

 

  • Desirable:
    • BC UKCC Coach level 2.
    • GNAS or equivalent.
    • RYA Dinghy Instructor
    • Experience with archery and bush craft.
    • Driving licence.

 

Salary and Benefits. The salary with minimum essential qualifications will be £16,100pa. This is reduced to £15,600 for the 1st 3 months whilst in training; however on successful completion of our pass-out evaluations and subject to appropriate NGB qualifications for working at Calvert Trust Exmoor, salary can increase to a maximum of £16,800 in the first year. Calvert Trust Exmoor provides staff lunch during a working day; single living accommodation is also available (at a small cost). Eligible employees will be auto-enrolled in our work place pension scheme.
