One of the new activities at Kielder is Geocaching which is a cross between treasure hunting and orienteering.  It uses GPS units to guide you to a particular location where the aim is to find a 'cache' to open and log your visit.

Try your luck at this new activity. It's just like clay pigeon shooting except with lasers, see how many points you can score!

Zonk’s Mountain is the venue for outdoor climbing and has specially designed abseil routes.  Rain, shine or midge, it’s always possible to access our state of the art indoor climbing centre.  Routes for all abilities with a ‘climb the mountain and plant the flag challenge’ for everyone to take part in. 

Jump off the climbing tower and zip across the Burn for an adrenalin rush. 

Learn the art of sailing and canoeing on Northern Europe’s largest man-made lake.  The beautiful Kielder Water is the perfect place to experience our water based activities. Board ‘Happy Days’, our easy access motor cruiser, for an enjoyable journey across the lake to discover parts of Kielder Water that most folk just don’t see.

Start with a gentle swing alongside a friend and build up to a 10 metres high, 100kph adrenaline fuelled King Swing.  For the really brave, go straight to the top and shut your eyes!

 

 

There is an innovative and accessible  trail around the site with pictorial signs for those with learning difficulties offering everyone the chance to try orienteering.

Ride around the site and nature trails on one of our golf buggies and not a bunker in sight.

A fun obstacle course with the added interest of tackling the Velcro covered obstacle walls whilst wearing a Velcro suit.  Will you stick to the task!

Balance your way around our low ropes course.

Our indoor hydrotherapy pool is a great favourite with all our guests.  For the ultimate relaxing experience try our sauna.

Hand crank bikes provide an alternative form of transportation around the site.
