The Lake District Calvert Trust is a residential outdoor centre with 40 years’ experience delivering challenging outdoor adventure holidays for people with disabilities.

On the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, our centre offers a warm welcome; accessible accommodation and exciting breaks for schools, groups, families and individuals with their friends and carers.

We are accessible to people of all ages with sensory, learning or physical disabilities, including those with the most complex needs for which most outdoor centres cannot cater.

If you haven’t been before or just not visited in a while, come and see what’s new...start planning your next activity break at the Lake District Calvert Trust!

Thank you to Cranstons' staff and customers

Friends of the Lake District Calvert Trust recently organised a very successful bag packing day at Cranstons Cumbrian Foodhall, Penrith and raised just under £500. A team of Friends volunteers helped customers pack their shopping bags on Saturday 30th March with all donations going to the Lake District Calvert Trust.

Alistair Brewis, (Chairman of Friends of the Lake District Calvert Trust) said,

" The Cranstons shoppers were really generous and we are very grateful to Cranstons for their continued support to the Calvert Trust. I would like to say a huge thank you to Cranstons and their staff, their shoppers and also to the volunteers that helped with the collection. Everyone's contributions were very much appreciated."
