The Lake District Calvert Trust is a residential outdoor centre with 40 years’ experience delivering challenging outdoor adventure holidays for people with disabilities.

On the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, our centre offers a warm welcome; accessible accommodation and exciting breaks for schools, groups, families and individuals with their friends and carers.

We are accessible to people of all ages with sensory, learning or physical disabilities, including those with the most complex needs for which most outdoor centres cannot cater.

Westmorland Ltd Go to Great Lengths to Raise Funds For LDCT

A huge thanks to staff from the Westmorland Ltd group who have taken up several individual challenges to raise funds for us:

Rheged's Rebecca Walls who raised £398.45 when she ran the Great North Run in an impressive 2hrs 40mins; Charlotte Crook & the Retail Team from Tebay Services who took on the mighty 3 Peaks Challenge and raised £418; and Louise Begg, Manager of Westmorland's J38 Truck Stop shop, who donated £400 of the money raised through her sponsored Head Shave (see picture) to LDCT - she also donated to the Royal Victoria Infirmary & Freeman Hospitals in Newcastle,and gave her hair to the Little Princes Trust.
