The Lake District Calvert Trust is a residential outdoor centre with 40 years’ experience delivering challenging outdoor adventure holidays for people with disabilities.

On the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, our centre offers a warm welcome; accessible accommodation and exciting breaks for schools, groups, families and individuals with their friends and carers.

We are accessible to people of all ages with sensory, learning or physical disabilities, including those with the most complex needs for which most outdoor centres cannot cater.

If you haven’t been before or just not visited in a while, come and see what’s new...start planning your next activity break at the Lake District Calvert Trust!

Walker's Forum Continue to Support Lake District Calvert Trust

Last week saw us receiving a further donation from the Walker's Forum: funds made from Gear Giveaways and calendar sales have so far generated an impressive £2000 and it doesn’t stop there!

This year’s Gear Giveaway will see a walk up Causey Pike on April 5th, followed by a meet up Skiddaw on August 29th. Why not consider joining them? The idea is for each attendee to donate some kit which is later sold by the Walker's Forum, and all proceeds come to LDCT! Visit the Gear Giveaway facebook page for more information.

Two members of The Walker’s Forum are also supporting us by taking part in our 22 Peak Sponsored Walk: thank you so much Richard Jennings & Kevin Williams!
