Single-activity (Specialist) Courses

Here at the Lake District Calvert Trust we run a number of courses that are designed to meet the needs of those who wish to pursue just one particular activity more fully than could be achieved on a standard multi-activity course. Some of our courses even lead to Nationally recognised awards!

Our Specialist Courses are normally 5-7-days.  This is designed to develop the skills of those who have some previous experience and an interest in a particular activity, however elementary.

In 2012, we are running shorter, week-end (Fri-Mon) Specialist Courses in certain activity areas, to give you a 'flavour' of your chosen activity, and inspire you to then take up a future full Specialist Course.

Most of our Courses (except Off-shore Sailing) are based at our main Centre, and the cost includes en-suite accommodation, all meals, intensive tuition, and the use of our equipment and facilities.

'The climbing was absolutely inspirational. The young people overcame long-held fears of heights, and were given the chance to prove to themselves that they could achieve something they never thought they could. Amazing!'
