Challenging Disability Through Outdoor Adventure

Fundraise For Us

The work we carry out wouldn’t be possible without continued support from people like you. We are incredibly grateful for the continual energy & commitment of our supporters.

Every year we need to raise in excess of £175,000 to provide vital bursary support to disabled guests who would not be able to visit us without financial assistance, to replace and renew essential specialist equipment, offer a variety of fun evening entertainment. We don’t receive any government funding so every gift, no matter how large or small is vital to help us achieve this target, and 100% of every £1 you donate will go directly towards our vital work.

Our supporters tell us that giving up some time to raise money for Calvert Trust Exmoor is highly rewarding. You’ll be part of something incredible and feel a sense of pride in helping people with disabilities fulfil their potential.

On this page you’ll find a guide of all the ways you could support us. If you would like any further information or support in your fundraising efforts then please contact fundraisingexmoor@calvert-trust.org.uk or phone us on 01598 763221.

Fundraising Suggestions

Ideas for Children

  • Have a sale outside your house with your parents selling your old toys
  • Get all your friends together and have a bake sale
  • Do a sponsored silence
  • Get sponsored to dressed up as your favourite super hero for the day
  • Start a regular ‘non uniform’ day at school for a £1 entry fee

Individual fundraising

  • Get sponsored to give up a guilty pleasure (how about chocolate or swearing?!)
  • Have a spring clean and auction off all those unwanted items lying around the house
  • Shave it off – get sponsored to shave off your hair or your eyebrows, or maybe even wax your legs!
  • Bikeathon - Cycle across the country with a bike buddy and get fit whilst raising money
  • Organise a nice long walk with friends and family and get sponsored for taking part
  • Run a marathon - why not stand out from the crowd and run the marathon in fancy dress?!
  • Empty your pockets! - donate your loose change at the end of the week

Community Fundraising Events

  •  Hold a ‘Come Dine with Me’ event and take it in turns to host. People pay to take part or pay what they think the meal is worth!
  • Show the world your talent and organise a musical event. You can sell tickets or merchandise to raise funds
  •  Strut your stuff - hold a fashion show and auction off the clothes at the end
  •  Hold a raffle, you could ask local shops and businesses to donate prizes
  •   Host a movie night – this can be as easy as opening up your front room for your friends and family. Alternatively you could rent a local village hall and get the whole community involved!  Fundraising with a movie night is as easy as turning the lights down and letting the movie credits roll

"We've had a fantastic week. It was so lovely to go somewhere with my 3 special boys and be accepted and not judged or stared at. We will definitely be back because it is all about what they CAN do not what they can't"
