Sponsorship offer is De Icing on the Cake

Peter Cockeril, CEO Calvert Trust Kielder and Gary Lidiat, CEO Kilfrost

Calvert Trust Kielder has received a much needed boost after an international business with its roots in the North East pledged their support by sponsoring The Calvert Ball.

To help raise funds for the charity, an annual black tie ball brings in additional support and funds to enable our work to continue. This year, the ball will take place at the Hilton, Newcastle Gateshead on September 2nd and CEO Peter Cockerill is delighted at the generosity of leading de/anti icing specialists Kilfrost for their sponsorship pledge. The pledge will help the Trust to change the lives and aspirations of countless people with disabilities.

“I’m overwhelmed at how generous Kilfrost has been. The money we raise at the ball will enable people with a range of disabilities to benefit from a holiday at our centre where they will experience everything that our team of carers and outdoor activity experts can offer them,” he said. “I’d very much like to thank Kilfrost and our other sponsors as without their help and support; we wouldn’t be able to hold this fantastic event.”

For over 75 years Kilfrost has led the global de/anti-icing sector and is proud to work closely with customers in over 50 countries and five continents. The company delivers its safety critical products to the Aviation, General Aviation, Rail, Ground De-icing, and Heat Transfer Fluid sectors. Kilfrost’s world-renowned R&D facility in Haltwhistle continues to develop groundbreaking new products, and the company is continuing to invest heavily in the innovation of ever-more environmentally-friendly de/anti-icing solutions.

Gary Lydiate, Chief Executive of Kilfrost explained why his business has decided to sponsor The Calvert Ball:

“Kilfrost has always taken its role in the local community seriously, and as a company proud of its strong roots in the North East, we were keen to sponsor The Calvert Ball to help raise much-needed funds for Calvert Trust Kielder. Their ethos of challenging disability through outdoor adventure is truly inspiring, and we know just how valuable the multi-activity days and residential breaks that they offer are to families across the region. We are delighted to be able to support this year’s Calvert Ball and hope that it raises even more than last year’s impressive £30,000 total.”

Tickets for the ball at Newcastle Gateshead Hilton on 2nd September are available from Hazel Munro on 01434 250232.  Click here for further information on The Calvert Ball.
